CLIENT FEEDBACK - I

Esther C. - Dublin, CA

What do you like most about this new resume?

"I really like the 'Profile of Key Strengths' and 'Competencies' sections. The reader gets a sense of who I am and what I can do before delving into my 'Professional Experience' history. And it propels them into continuing to read about how I applied those skills and competencies in the various positions I've held."

Please comment on the content, and the representation of you and your skills.

"I think the content and representation of my skills as someone who 'has a vision for what needs to be done', 'brings the right people and resources together' and 'executes'."

Please comment on the resume flow and readability.

"The flow seems logical - beginning with a high level view, a marketing-specific view, and then the responsibilities and associated accomplishments. There are clear distinctions between sections and the indented bulleted accomplishments make for ease of reading/scanning. The reader can quickly view job titles, company names, responsibilities, and accomplishments. I also think the responsibility and accomplishment statements are more concise/to the point."

Did anything surprise you about the new resume?

"That it was possible to present a high level picture of me to 'set the stage' before the reader delves into the expected presentation of responsibilities and accomplishments."

Please comment on the Awesome Resume process and approach to writing resumes.

"I think the best thing was that Anne spent a great deal of time making sure she was getting everything she needed from me to write a resume that would position me as strongly as possible, given my skills, strengths, experience, and accomplishments. I felt like she had a great sense of ownership in creating the sales piece for me. She is an expert listener and I think quite adept at adapting her approach to each individual to ensure the best possible end result. The interview was almost therapeutic in that I didn't just answer questions about each job. I processed what I was able to accomplish, and also acknowledged what didn't get done and why.

During the interview, she was quite effective in posing questions that made it easy for me to clearly provide the information she needed to write a Wow! resume. The side benefit was the boost to my confidence from describing myself and walking through all my accomplishments."

How did this process help you get closer to what you are striving to achieve?

"Well...the bottom line is that I needed a "sales piece" that really wows the reader and makes them believe that I am someone they would want to work at their company. I think our conversations and reading the final resume solidified that I really do want to continue working in a corporate environment and in online marketing. It also helped rebuild my waning confidence after being out of full-time work for a year - something that was necessary to inspire me on to really putting my job search campaign into high gear."
